Well it’s been a busy year so far for us. Having bought West Shaw Cote Farm in March, we’ve been working hard.
The whole cottage has been refurbished and I mean completely, a month after we bought the buildeRos moved in, quite litterally! Living down south gave us the chance to let our building team move into West Shaw Cote Farm (our house which is attached to the cottage) whilst the kitchen and bathroom of the cottage were completely removed.
The night storage heaters were replaced with a new central heating system., spotlights were fitted in the kitchen , hallway and bathroom and the cottage was plastered and repainted throughout.
The hard work was worth it and we’re really happy with the results we hope that you like it too .
We’ve just had our first few bookings and have been really pleased with the compliments we have received so far.
In the last couple of months there have been a few hundred baby pheasants released into the neighbouring woodland and we have enjoyed watching the grow up and running around our fields and driveway, although they do seem to forget they can fly and insist on running down the driveway ahead of the car !
Having not had any sheep on the fields for a while, we are pleased to say they are now home to over 100 from a nearby farm, that’s going to save an awful lot of lawn mowing time!
